Ok, so now that I am settled I can finally get back to blogging. I have been fairly busy last month and this month with Grad school (blah!) and some exciting things that are on my 30 Before 30 list that I was able to accomplish. I am so excited to finally be settled...
I have accomplished 3 things off of my list, you can see my full list here
#1 Travel to: Vegas
This is only a part of #1 on my list so I cannot completely mark off #1 but I can finally say "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". In February, I took a road trip with 6 of my friends from college. We took turns driving all the way there (btw, I don't recommend the drive...not from Oklahoma anyways). It was cheaper for us to drive so that is what we decided and with so many of us we only had to drive a few hours each. Anyways we stayed at the Trump Hotel which was not directly on the strip but it was very, very close and they had a free shuttle that took us to two different hotel locations on the strip. It was so fun and unreal, just like the movies; the entire time we were there I was in shock. We ate good food, shopped almost everyday, went to the club, sat out at the pool, and more. It was so fun I didn't want to leave but I am so glad I was finally able to go.
#2 Go Ziplining
While I was in Vegas I went ziplining across the Rio Hotel, it was scary. Like really scary. I was excited to go and was perfectly fine until the man told us to go to the 51st floor of the hotel, that is when I lost it! I couldn't wear my glasses so I couldn't see anything but I did it, we went ziplining and yes I cried; told you I was scared. I would probably do it again but I'm not positive until I get on the cliff of a building again. The zipline was controlled so it wasn't necessarily a "free-fall" like it looks in the movies or on TV but it went about 30 mph and it was soooo fun. Like I said I was scared and I cried but I did really enjoy it.
#15 Move into my own apartment
Finally, I have moved out of my parents house (yes, I am late). I am so excited and sitting in my living room on my new couch right this second watching the movie "Obsessed" with Beyoncé and Idris Elba and I still cannot believe it is MINE. I had planned to move out this summer around June but when I came to look at the apartment at the beginning of February things went fast and they held an apartment for me until mid March and on March 15 I was officially moved in.
I would say this has been a GREAT first quarter of the year for me and I have already been able to accomplish some of my goals! I cannot wait to mark some more things off of my list and keep you guys posted.
