Top 10 Over $10

Top 10 over $10 Beauty Edition

Here is a list of my top ten products that are over $10; these products are a bit more expensive than the products in my 10 for $10 post that I did a couple months ago.  I have recently been getting into more high-end makeup brands and some of them are just worth the money point. blank. period no explanation needed.  There are also some products that I bought and may have done reviews on in the past that I wish I would have left on the shelf...but, we will discuss that in a later post.

1. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Dark ($32.00)-I love this powder and have used it pretty much non-stop since I got it.  The color is great and it sets without caking up my face and it doesn't take the glow or dewiness away.  I think this will be my new face powder from now on, it even works on days when I only want to wear powder.  Definitely a must try!

2. Josie Maran Argan Illumizer ($28.00)- Another great product I got on Hautelook a while ago and I use it more in the spring and summer to give me a sort of  "natural glow from within" by mixing it with bb creams, tinted moisturizers, and foundations.  It is great and I like that it is just a nice pale gold color so it doesn't really alter the color of my foundation and it is not a disco ball type of shimmer.

3. The Balm Lou-Manizers ($24.00)- Mary-Lou is probably my favorite highlighter of all time and the one I use the most, almost every time I wear makeup actually.  It is amazing and gives a great glowy highlight not really a harsh glitter or shimmer.  I also like Cindy-Lou which is really pink so I like to use that to layer on top of matte blushes for a natural blushing glow.

4. Tarina Tarintino Mascara ($19.00)- I got this in a Boxycharm not too long ago and mascara is one of my favorite things to buy but I usually do not like them freshly opened but I will know for sure how I like it after a couple weeks.  This...is amazing! It is the perfect consistency because it is not too watery but not super thick and dry and it makes my lashes super full and is in my top three mascara's easily.

5. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil ($20.00)-I normally use a nude eyeliner just because I like the way it looks but when I do choose black and I am not trying to use up any black liners I reach for this one.  It is super creamy and the blackest of blacks and it stays put so I love it.

6. Urban Decay Naked Palettes ($54.00)-These palettes are great, I do wish they had a couple more matte shades but that's the only negative; however, the few matte shades they do have are perfect.  I like the naked 3 the best but I use them both a good amount the shadows are super pigmented and blend easily and in my opinion they are great for soft neutral looks or bold sultry smokey eyes so they are also great for travel.  Majority of the time if I'm not traveling with a z-palette (which holds my makeup geek and coastal scents shadows) I am using these palettes.

7. Enter Pronoun Blowtorch Bronzer ($35.00)- Another Boxycharm find that I love.  This is perfect for summer and spring when I really want that warm bronzy shade, it has a nice orange-y-ness (not a word, but im using it) which I like in the warmer months because it looks a little more like a natural sun kissed  tan without the shimmer.  It is matte and super soft and smooth like butter, definitely my favorite summer time matte bronzer.

8. Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream ($13.49)-I love a light coverage for my face so I usually go towards these or tinted moisturizers or thinner foundations so this is perfect.  I really like that is it creamy like a moisturizer and hydrating and gives me all the dewiness I  want.  I have dry skin (except my t-zone) so I like that this is dewy.  It also has amazing coverage, better than some of my light weight foundations and you only need a small amount and I love blending it in with my hands then going over it with a sponge to make sure its blended well.  And yes! like all Garnier products I own it smells amazing.

9. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation ($42.00)- I have seen this and heard about this for years and always wanted to try it and I finally bit the bullet and bought it as a birthday present to myself and I am in love.  The color is perfect, the consistency is perfect, the finish is perfect, the wear is perfect.  It is just everything and now I see why people have been raving and repurchasing this foundation forever.

10. Laura Mercier Universal Invisible Loose Setting Powder ($37.00)-First, I just wanted to say for Laura Mercier this is pretty fairly priced, well compared to what I thought it would be.  Of course, this is just a sample size that I got in a subscription box but it is pretty amazing.  I have tried translucent powders in the past and I always feel like it makes me look ashy but this is different.  I use it to set my under eye concealer and it sets it perfectly but does not make my under eye look thirsty lol if you know what I mean.  I still have a nice dewy look when I use this but my makeup doesn't budge...because of the price I don't know about purchasing the full-size but I do love it.
