At the beginning of this month I had a very short post about being on the hunt for a night cream, I wanted something that was fairly intense that would give me amazing results over time. At that time I wanted to try something that was a little on the lower end, price wise, so I went with the Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream that I purchased at my local Walgreens (Im addicted to Walgreens) for $17.49. I hesitated for days on the price but then I started looking at the high end night creams and took my butt right on back to Walgreens lol!
The product claims to improve "5 Factors of Radiance" which are Tone, Dullness, Brown Spots, Texture, and Blotchiness.
So, I started using this at the beginning of July and I have tried to used it consistently every single night before bed. I really like the consistency, it is a white cream product but it is not extremely thick once applied to the skin. When I apply it's very thin and almost watery but not runny at all and very moisturizing. It makes my face and neck feel hydrated and soft and it still feels soft and moisturized when I wake up the next morning.
As far as the claims of the product I would agree that it is working and I do see progress in my skin. I have small dark spots on my neck that are going away and there were two on my right cheek that are completely gone. However, I do use multiple products on my face daily in my skin care routine so I am not positive if the night cream is the only thing that is helping my skin but, combined with the other products I do see progression and I can't complain!
The only negative that I found (which does not bother me at all) is that when I use my acne spot treatment underneath the night cream it does irritate my skin just a little and it feels like it may be burning so I stopped doing that and everything seems to be working fine. This is my first night cream so I cannot compare it to any other products. I do like it but I don't love it so I will probably not be repurchasing it but only because there are other products out there that I want to try and that I have seen great reviews on (spoken like a true product junkie). I will continue to use it until it runs out before purchasing any other products, If there are any products you think I should try please leave the info below and I will keep you posted on what I try!
